Who We Are
Community Laptops is an Indigenous owned social enterprise, with a mission of closing the digital gap and creating social impact through our low-cost refurbished laptop packages.
We take ex-government and ex-lease laptops and give them a new lease on life through expert refurbishing. Refurbishing laptops keeps the prices of our laptop packages low, making technology more accessible to more people.
And, when you buy from us, you’re helping us create real, tangible impact in the lives of Indigenous young people.
Our core values
1 in 4 people in Australia are digitally excluded, leaving them at risk of being left behind. Our goal is to get more tech into the hands of those who need it - without the price tag.
Refurbishing, Reusing and Recycling are the three R's of the circular economy. We believe in giving technology a second life through
refurbishment, rather than sending it to landfill.
A portion of our profits goes to supporting the Worldview Foundation, a charity that creates new futures for Indigenous Australians through holistic, wrap-around support.
Our Work with Worldview Foundation
We work with Worldview Foundation, with a portion of our profits going back to supporting their work and programs.
For every laptop you buy, you’re directly supporting the mentoring, support, training, and employment of Indigenous young people.
As a Supply Nation Registered and ACNC Registered Charity, Worldview Foundation offers wrap-around support, training, certifications, and at the end of the six-month program, a full-time job with Supply Nation Registered Certified Social Enterprise, WV Technologies.
In 2024, 45 Indigenous young people were placed in employment at WV Technologies through Worldview Foundation programs.
So, when you buy from us, you can know that you’re helping us invest in making a positive, tangible impact in First Nations communities.
